The Maternal-Fetal Medicine department provides specialists to offer you comprehensive care throughout your pregnancy. As a patient, you will have access to OB-GYNs, registered ultrasonographers, genetic counselors, perinatal nurses, and certified diabetes instructors. Your care will start out with a diagnosis, where they will explain any concerns and lay out a treatment plan. They will also look at pre-existing conditions that might affect your pregnancy and go through your medical history. The center offers advanced care to monitor your health through every trimester. You will have access to ultrasound services, personalized genomic medicine, fetal surveillance, genetic counseling, and gestational diabetes monitoring. For lab work and radiology, you will be referred to the Morristown location just 20 minutes away.
Specialty
You will receive nearly all your care at the Summit location while planning your delivery. During this time, your team will work with you to find the hospital that will be best for your case. The Atlantic Medical Group offers several hospitals with NICUs to provide care through every step of your delivery. The Morristown location has a limited NICU, while Chilton offers a Level 2 Special Care Nursery, and Newton has a Level 2 Immediate Care Nursery. At each hospital, you will have access to world-class amenities as well as physicians committed to keeping you and your baby safe.
