This sweet pair of dumplings couldn’t be any cuter, and they hold a special place in my heart. Mom is one of my closest friends and was actually inspired for this shoot by some artwork she saw in my own home. I had created similar vintage circus inspired portraits for my youngest son when he turned one, and she loved them so much! It was a pleasure to be able to revisit this theme. While I don’t do cake smashes for first birthdays, I am always available to create special pieces for your babies and family. This particular session celebrates both babies’ Spring birthdays.
I collected vintage toys and custom felted little animals and circus hats to create this set. The Fisher Price circus set you see here is from the 1960s! One of my most treasured vintage toys, and the kids absolutely loved it. But seriously, aren’t they the cutest babies you’ve ever seen? I am living for all the personality in big sister too, it was her very own circus!
We finished off with some neutral cream portraits, and a special “headshot” for mom. The intimacy of this closeup mirrors two other portraits from maternity and newborn sessions for them.
