There’s something so special about welcoming a newborn client whose journey I’ve been a part of since maternity. When these sweet clients came back for their baby boy’s first portraits, I was overjoyed! We knew we wanted to create a seamless connection between her maternity session and his newborn session. By mirroring the soft, serene palette from her maternity session, that sense of calm carried over into baby’s portraits.
The gentle shades of sage weren’t just a beautiful color choice—they tied perfectly into the “cactus” theme of his nursery too. The soft sages, and the touch of some greenery really tied everything together.
Since this little guy arrived just in time for the holiday season, we couldn’t resist incorporating a bit of festive cheer! He was the perfect baby, sweetly sleeping as we wrapped him up for the cutest Santa shots. Can you even deal with that perfectly timed smile in the Santa outfit??? His parents brought along a candy cane pillow adding a personal touch. These holiday images will no doubt be treasured for years to come; a reminder of their first magical Christmas together.
Baby boy was an absolute dream to photograph! He was the perfect squish and slept the entire time. I couldn’t be more honored to have captured both his parents’ journey into parenthood and his first days earth-side.
