Every time a family chooses to come back to me for their next children it is so humbling for me. Being able to capture their families’ ever-changing dynamic, and see the older kiddos grow up! This is the third baby of theirs I have photographed as a newborn! Aren’t I just the luckiest!
I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to photograph this family’s THREE babies! This little boy joins two beautiful older sisters, and he was just a dream to photograph! And can we talk about the big sisters? How cute are they? Both sweet and a little bit spicy, you can totally see their personalities in the photos. I just also want to comment on their exceptional ability to SMIZE (here’s to you, Tyra), at such a young age- lol!
It is always tricky to capture a toddler during a newborn session; they are often just “not here for it”. Capturing TWO toddlers with a baby, is, I imagine, many parents’ nightmare scenario. These little ladies did everything asked of them! Please know that most parent’s apprehension of getting photographs of their children is because we know our kids. But they often behave much better for someone else. I know this, because I have two of them, and photographers child syndrome, is real.
But anyway, mom and dad are totally in love (with their babies, and each other), and it definitely shows in these images. And the piece-de-resistance with newborn shots is always achieving that gorgeous image of mom and her babies. And I’d say, we nailed it!
We actually photographed him around the 3 week mark for a number of reasons. So as you can see, a newborn session is totally doable with a slightly older baby, and every baby will react differently to posing and such. Moms only request for this session was for shades of blue. Blue is such a unisex color, and looked perfect on everyone!
Post-session, we created a beautiful baby album, and an Amalfi panel for his room.
Newborn sessions should be booked in your late 2nd or early 3rd trimester to ensure availability.
