Every time I have looked at this gallery, reminisced about our maternity photo session together, and thought about these two beautiful (inside and out) mamas, I have had a huge smile come across my face. First of all, they are both obviously stunning, but most importantly, they were so absolutely in love, and in awe of each other that it was just so damn contagious. Mama C told me during our zoom when selecting their gallery that she has felt throughout her pregnancy that Mama J’s eyes just sparkle all of the time when she looks at her. I saw and felt that the WHOLE time during their session. The genuine emotions, the soft little caresses over the belly, the way Mama J holds Mama C’s face. I was smitten with these two.
Let’s layer on the fact that these are two incredibly brilliant, talented women, a powerhouse combo if you will, in many ways. And this little baby is going to grow up surrounded by all of the qualities a parent would want their child to be exposed to, aside from love. Left brain, right brain, smarts, creativity, a beautiful family – a total jackpot. I can’t wait to see this baby when he or she arrives!
Maternity Session Looks
But let’s get back to these two beauties. As usual we planned out looks based on their personal preferences, taking into account baby shower themes as well. We tried a few creative things that were “not on their bingo card”. Like the rhinestone figure hugging dress that just highlighted mom’s perfect curves, or a bit of unexpected architectural pleats. The highlight of our session was the floral looks, and I love the little pop of the orange roses that just play so beautifully against mom’s skintone and with the emerald green tones of the tulle mom was nestled in. We pulled in that bit of orange into mom’s gelled image too, perfectly highlighting her curves against the darker teal key light color. Take a look at their gallery below – perfection does exist!
