We went through a few ideas of what her session should look like and mom finally settled on this vintage blooms first birthday session inspiration. I think it was the right choice, and she just looked perfect for these portraits!
This little girl is part of another one of my “original” families as I like to call them. I have been photographing her family for years, starting with her Auntie and cousins when she was pregnant and they were born up until now! It feels like eons ago, but I love seeing them every few years and watching them grow! I have now photographed all four babies in this family since they were in moms’ bellies, to their newborn session, and now their first birthday!
We were able to add a very cooperative little big brother for a few images with his sister and he was so great. They both just have the most stunning eyes, and baby girl was just the bees knees. When she first saw me, she wasn’t too keen, but that quickly turned around and she was having a fantastic time. The smiles, laughter, and clapping were so genuine, and she was ready to go, go, go! She even let us put a *gasp* headpiece or two on her, which has a rare success rate in babies this age!
