Each May, Sun High Orchards opens up their fields so New Jersey locals can pick fresh produce. This farm grows sweet corn, pumpkins, and peaches. Their apple selection includes Cortland, Macintosh, Gala, Honeycrisp, and Empire. While you are there, you can pick up classic fall decorations, including gourds, hay bales, and hardy mums. They also sell ice cream and homemade goods in their bakery.
Alstede Farms

Alstede Farms is packed with family adventures that are guaranteed to get you in the autumn mood! This farm has pick-your-own harvests throughout the years with plants such as strawberries, peas, raspberries, blueberries, peaches, tomatoes, flowers, pumpkins, and apples. During the day, you can enjoy a variety of activities: a 5 acre corn maze, pony rides, climbing hay stack piles, and a wonderful petting zoo will delight your little ones. Throughout the evenings, you can stop by for live entertainment, food truck nights, and tractor rides.

Ort Farms is a scenic space that prides itself on unforgettable family activities. While you are here, you can see some farm animals, let your child explore the kids’ play area, hitch a pony ride, or climb aboard a monster truck. Their apple season starts each August and goes until the end of September, ending right as pumpkin season begins.

Since 1922, Wightman Farms has been providing New Jersey residents with the perfect escape! As the fall season approaches, they host a wide range of activities, including their annual fall festival. Ripple Hill Farm offers pick-your-own apples starting in mid-September. This tiny family farm brings a personalized experience to each visit. Instead of navigating huge up-fees and gimmicks, you can come and enjoy your ideal day wandering through orchards. They offer a wide variety of apples, and earlier in the year, you can also find peaches and asparagus. Because they are a little smaller, they do not accept cards, so be sure to bring some cash!
