This beautiful family session with a lively 1-year-old girl was a last-minute booking just a day before Thanksgiving, and it turned out to be nothing short of magical. Mom came with a clear vision: she wanted to showcase two dresses gifted by family members, which added a special significance to their portraits. The first dress, a purple and green floral, was paired perfectly with soft lilac florals and a green backdrop. Mom and dad absolutely adored the different personalities that came through her solo portraits here! The green elements we added complemented the purple beautifully, highlighting the dress and giving the images a soft, whimsical feel. These deep green hues also looked gorgeous with mom in a matching emerald gown.
For the second outfit, a charming blue-toned dress, Mom requested a floral backdrop in similar hues to tie everything together. We crafted a serene scene using blue flowers and coordinating props to match, making for some truly adorable portraits. As mom wanted to use one of these blue-toned images for their holiday card, we played with different family combinations to capture both intimate and joyful moments. We did have to resort to some snacks, and funny children’s music videos to combat a little bit of the nap-time rambunctiousness mid-session. The session was filled with laughter, love, and LOTS of cookies, making it a perfect way to celebrate this special time with their baby girl.
