This sweet family has been gracing me with their presence since before their first baby girl was born, and mom’s tastes have not strayed. They are yet again expecting another little girl, and mom wanted to feature her favorite color once more. These soft delicate lilac and lavender tones look like a dream against mom’s skin. While our previous maternity session was outdoors in the middle of an extreme New Jersey summer heatwave, this session was a bit more comfortable. We brought in some green in the form of a gorgeous floral backdrop to marry back to those purple tones.
After their newborn session, the intent is to create a set of similar artwork for this baby’s new room – one piece from their maternity session, one new family portrait, and a solo portrait of baby. The colors chosen were intentional, so they would match back to their existing art on their walls. Even the hot pink ruffled gown is a nod to this stunning magenta color we incorporated into their first daughter’s newborn session! Getting the opportunity to see “my” families grow, is truly a blessing.
