This mom to be encapsulates maternal “glow”. She was a joy from the moment she walked in to the studio, and beautiful to boot. Her and her husband were absolutely delightful, and so fun to be around. The husbands always make the best hype men during maternity sessions and hers was no exception. I was even treated to a photo of the first time they met many years ago! In this ode to motherhood, it is always special to watch husbands and partners be enthralled in mom-to-be’s confidence and beauty. As I always tell moms who inquire about including partners in their portrait sessions, it is a nice bonding moment for the two of you prior to baby’s arrival.
We played with a luxurious, neutral color palette – mom’s favorite tones of nude, black, and white. A black gown with elbow length gloves, an oversized white flower, and some flowing champagne fabric. Sometimes, simple is best. But one of our favorite images from the session was that draped fur coat, just perfectly exposing her baby bump. Enjoy her photos below.
