Where to Shop for Maternity Gowns

Where to Shop for Maternity Gowns – My Favorite Shops and Wardrobe Staples

Thankfully, I have curated a beautiful wardrobe to provide my clients with access to these pieces included in their session. But, if you are looking to purchase your own special piece for a maternity session, here is a list of where to shop for maternity outfits from my favorite vendors.

As we know, every body type and pregnancy is different from woman to woman. My collection offers a variety of styles designed to fit a wide range of bodies (and can also be worn for non-maternity). The dresses can also be worn for non-maternity sessions too. So if you want to pick up a dress for your session, wear one for a baby shower (if length permits!), or for a mom-and-baby session later on, you may be better off buying one to keep for yourself!

The below list of designers specialize in maternity wear and are masters of their craft. See the links to their shops below, and a few favorite pieces I love from their collections.

1. Katharina Hakaj Couture – K.H. Fashion

  • Katharina Hakaj Couture. I use so many of Katharina’s designs for my moms. The tulle is super soft, never wrinkles, and the designs are totally glamorous and give a bit of oomph to any mom-to-be. The sizing is flexible, and the robes look amazing on their own or paired with bodysuits. The most popular ones for my clients, include the Coco, Cleo, Ferrero, Muse, and Barbara. She also sells tulle by the yard which is perfect for wrapping moms as well.

2. Before & Ever

  • Before & Ever is known for her embellished gowns and perfectly flowy fabrics. Most recently she introduced printed fabric yardage that is to die for. Her shop is only opened at pre-determined times, but definitely worth waiting for your gowns to be made! The maternity silks have the perfect weight to float in the air for those gorgeous tosses. She also offers girls dresses to match the most popular women’s styles.
  • You can find my favorite printed fabrics here, as well as the Time After Time, Sweet Scent, Run Away with Me, Dream of Flowers, Goddess, and Summerina dresses.

3. Mii-Estilo

  • Mii-Estilo has beautiful silk maternity fabrics with a beautiful sheen that I love. The fabrics feel luxurious, and aren’t sheer, which is perfect for the more modest mom. They also have an assortment of dresses as well, including cape dress styles.

4. Chicaboo

  • Chicaboo offers some more budget friendly gown options in tulle and jersey fabrications. I particularly love their convertible jersey mermaid gowns. There are different sleeve lengths and the jersey fabric is nice and thick, but stretchy for most sizes. They do have some embellished gowns as well as you can see from the sequin mermaid gown below. The Athena, Serena, and Eden are my go-tos.

5. Sew Trendy

6. Silk Fairies

  • Silk Fairies Maternity. This is another shop that has great maternity fabrics and fluid, flowing dresses. Lots of silky dress options, as well as bodysuit and skirt combinations. You can check out my favorite fabric of theirs, here.

7. Monika Serek Design (Lemon & Pearl)

  • Lemon & Pearl Design. Monika is a photographer herself and created a line of maternity designs that really emphasizes the female form. You can find some two pieces, bodysuits, jersey gowns and some tulle options as well. I particularly love this dress, and two-piece.

8. AR Backdrops

  • AR Backdrops offers both newborn and maternity products. She specializes in bold maternity accessories like body jewelry, jackets, earrings, and dresses, among other things.

9. Amazon

  • Amazon! – See here for a list of maternity pieces and accessories. I’ve gotten plenty of accessories, body jewelry, bustiers, bodysuits and other gowns for maternity sessions.

10. Some others to check out!

You can also check out Ana Brandt’s maternity shop, Anyuta Couture, KamaProps, and AbbyBellaCouture for other styles and offerings.
