Some maternity sessions are soft and dreamy, but for this mama, bold was the only way to go! I was so fortunate that she found me through a Valentine’s Day giveaway I ran last year with Vida Salon and Victoria’s Cake, a local French bakery. From the moment we started planning, I knew this would be a session bursting with personality that mirrored her own.
Bold colors reflected the same energy that mom brought with her. A stunning magenta pink dress set against a floral backdrop made her glow. An elegant combination of green and gold played beautifully with hers and dad’s features. That green backdrop made her husband’s hair pop in the best way! Of course, we couldn’t skip a timeless black ensemble, proving that “simple” never has to mean “basic.”
Mom looked flawless, and a bold lip was the perfect finishing touch, adding just the right amount of drama while enhancing her beautiful smile. Every frame exuded joy, confidence, and the excitement of soon-to-be parenthood.
Although the majority of clients opt to wear outfits from my client closet, mom did bring a special piece with her—the dress she’d be wearing to her baby shower. It was the perfect excuse to capture some images with Dad without the stress of baby-shower day. And with those genes? Their little one is bound to have the most gorgeous curly hair and mesmerizing light eyes!
This maternity session was a vibrant celebration of color, love, and the beauty of new beginnings. I can’t wait to see this family’s next chapter unfold!
