I have grown up with this sweet family. From their first baby’s newborn session years ago, to little sister, and now her communion, it has been so wonderful watching them grow. Big sister is a perfect, gorgeous young lady, with poise and wisdom beyond her years. Little sister is spunky, a little mischievous, and just as smart. Both are kind and gentle humans, with amazing parents to thank. Because we like all things pink and girl, photos among the cherry and magnolia blossoms would be perfect.
We didn’t think we’d get lucky with the blossoms- after all Magnolia and Cherry blossoms are so fragile in the early days of Spring. A quick frost, or an intense rain will take with it all of the blooms. This specific spot had actually gotten buckets rained on it a few days earlier, but thankfully the blooms had emerged right after. The earlier cherry blossoms were all but gone because of previous week’s cold and rain!
We took the opportunity to not only capture beautiful images to celebrate her first holy communion, but also get a few shots of both sisters together as well. The twinkling, princess pink star dresses were just perfect for these two!

When to book your Cherry Blossom or Magnolia blooms Communion Session
In order to be able to capture the blooms, make sure to reach out in January or February to make sure there is availability for cherry blossom sessions. April is prime photographer season and very busy because the blooms are only available for such a short amount of time. Reaching out early will ensure that you get availability for cherry blossom communion photos.
