This lovely duo came to me because mom wanted to book a mom & me outdoor session with her favorite girl! Both of their birthdays are in October, so this was a sweet gift to the two of them! To say that we were gifted with perfect weather for this early October session, would be unjust. After rescheduling because of rainy days twice, we finally had a beautiful day, with mild temperatures and soft sun.
The park I usually shoot in had also surprisingly blossomed like it was springtime. These tall delicate daisy-like blooms emerged from the woods, perfect for some magical images of mom and her girl! You would never guess it was early October, save for the tiny yellow leaves starting to turn in the distance.
Ellie was just so precious, and you can see her precocious nature in her adorable facial expressions. My personal favorite of her hiding her eye behind her tiny hand is just *chef’s kiss*! The adoration and connection between the two of them is perfectly clear, and we had many sweet moments throughout their session.
Mom had originally planned on these matching pink dresses from Ivy City Co, (they always has a lovely assortment of matching mom & me looks). However, when we were planning her session she had also mentioned she loved neutrals. I had just received a matching girls gown to my ever popular Coco cream dress for moms, which I thought would be perfect. Mom absolutely loved this combination, and I’m so glad I was able to offer it up! The vibrant pink was perfect, and stood out so nicely in contrast with the blues and greens of the water images.
All in all, we did A LOT for what a typical 3, almost 4 year old would stand for. Ellie was an absolute trooper! What a gorgeous, joyful child, thank you again mom for the pleasure of photographing you two! Looking forward to meeting the rest of your beautiful family on an upcoming session!
