My goal during every maternity session is to make every woman feel amazing, and empowered, during her session. I get so many inquiries where the common concern is that they are not photogenic like the women they see in my photos. Sometimes they are having difficult pregnancies, or haven’t felt their best throughout. Other times, as we women are known to do, we are just so hard on ourselves and find fault in things that others do not see!
Many maternity sessions end up being therapeutic in nature for moms. A recent tik-tok review from one of my clients pointed this out to me. Moms walk in not expecting to see themselves the way the world sees them. When I show them the back of the camera, they often don’t believe it is them that they are seeing! If you are at all hesitant about booking a maternity session, don’t be. It is often a much needed confidence booster for a majority of the moms I photograph!
I want you to walk away feeling like a queen! To see the beauty in yourself and in your body that is creating this miracle. To feel like you are the most beautiful woman in the room.
I want to share this recent maternity session with you. We created some very elegant, yet bold looks for mom. All of which are powerful. We stuck to a blue, green, and neutral palette and created a variety of looks to highlight this mom’s beautiful bump! With their gallery, we picked one of their couple’s portraits for a metal wall art piece, and put the rest of their images into a beautiful album to enjoy!
Including dad in some images created some gorgeous, loving photos. I adore the look of love between the two. As I tell all of my inquiring moms, this is a special bonding experience for the two of you as well before baby arrives.
