It’s always super nice when dad reaches out to schedule a session for his gorgeous mom-to-be. There is just so much going on before a baby arrives, that perhaps photos are not on your list of priorities, so when someone else plans it for you, it makes it extra special. Men are not always the ones most willing to schedule and partake in photos, so I always love to hear from dads!
This session was a last minute booking, and thankfully I was able to accommodate! This was done at almost THIRTY-SEVEN weeks! This is definitely not the normal practice when shooting maternity, but as I mention in this article here: The Best Time to Take Maternity Photos, every mom and pregnancy is different, and everyone’s comfort level will vary. As you can see from the below images, this mom-to-be was perfectly fine and looked and felt amazing during her session. So if you are feeling like you missed out on booking something a bit earlier- don’t hesitate to reach out. We just might be able to do it anyway!
Mom and dad are expecting a little boy, but as I always tell clients, the photos should reflect you and your personality as well. Mom liked pastels, pinks, and purples, so why shouldn’t we incorporate that into her session? Your chosen colors don’t have to mirror the sex of your child! I myself have two boys and definitely wore fuchsia for one of my maternity images. Don’t be afraid to think out of the box when planning your session.
Mom was up for anything and we were able to try some different looks and concepts. What do you think? I think she nailed it, and these photos will be treasured for years to come! See below for some of their portraits!
