Dylan’s First Holy Communion Photos

It is always a pleasure to see “my” families return year after year. This foursome is one of my longstanding clients – I’ve been photographing their family (and sister’s family) since mom was pregnant with baby number ONE! She’s the sweet young lady you see in their family photos. It feels like just yesterday, I was taking her newborn photos, and she’s almost taller than mom now! And little brother has always been a charmer – well, maybe aside from the time he puked all over his first birthday cake mid-session. However, just look at him now, so, so handsome!

I can always count on these four for eventful, funny stories during almost all of their sessions. This communion session, was at least in that sense, uneventful. No wardrobe disasters, odd ring doorbell camera events, no violent baby poop explosions, etc. There just comes a time when these littles grow up. This year in particular, seems to be a revisiting of some of my oldest clients for their first communions! It has been so sweet to see many of them again.

To finish off this session, we created a beautiful updated family portrait for them. I absolutely love how we staged this – a little Vogue flair.

Booking your Communion portraits

As a reminder, communion sessions can take place either before their event if you need portraits for display, or after, for memories with less stress. Please remember that for photos to have at their event, the session must be booked about 6-8 weeks prior to your need by date. It is also the perfect opportunity for an updated family photo, out of sports uniforms, sweats, and leggings.
