Montclair B.A.B.Y. was founded by Kelli DeFlora, an experienced birth worker as well as a mom herself. Since it first opened, Montclair B.A.B.Y. has served as a spot where new and expectant families could find the love and support they needed. This place seriously has a little bit of everything from pregnancy support to toddler classes. Not only will you be able to find support, but you will also be able to forge friendships that will last long after your baby isn’t so teeny!
Services
Pregnancy can be a pretty overwhelming experience, but Montclair B.A.B.Y. is here to take out all the stress and make sure you have a positive birth experience. They have birth doulas who will partner with you throughout pregnancy, help you form your birth plan, and ensure you have the resources to make it a reality. Their doulas will be by your side throughout your delivery, serving as your advocate. Following delivery, you can book a postpartum doula who will provide you with both hands-on and emotional support.
In addition to their pregnancy doula services, the center offers classes including Lamaze, hypnobirthing, and newborn care. You can also stop by for their fitness classes including prenatal yoga and Dancing for Birth.
Specialty
Once your baby is here, you can continue finding endless support from Montclair B.A.B.Y.. New parents can come in for Baby and Me Yoga as well as Postpartum Repair and Restore classes. They offer infant and toddler classes, including music, baby sign language, toddler yoga, and nutritional classes. You can sign up for their helpful support groups that give you a safe space to connect with other parents. Come in and chat about things like finding your identity after parenthood, creating healthy sleep habits, maintaining a healthy relationship with your partner, and postpartum body image. They also have groups made specifically for the dads!
