Hoboken Fire Department Museum is always going to be my suggestion when it comes to places for younger kids. This center is going to walk you through all the ways our firefighters have fought flames over the past few centuries. Your child can sit in the driver’s seat of an antique fire truck from 1932 before they head over and look at the pictures of all the different fire dogs throughout our city’s history. The best part is that kids 12 and under can get in for free!
Hoboken Cove Community Boathouse

Hoboken Cove Community Boathouse is one of the best ways to get kids out on the water! They offer free paddling programs that are perfect for all ages. You can go out with your family and borrow a paddle board, a kayak, or an outrigger canoe. Their mission is to make the water a place that welcomes families for years to come. When they’re not busy leading their paddling days, they are out cleaning up litter on the beach.
Pier 13 Hoboken

If you want the best way to take in the New York City skyline with Hoboken kids, Pier 13 is the spot for you! Throughout the warmer months, they open up with food trucks where you can enjoy food and drinks. In addition to their regular hours, they host events, including their weekly Family Funday. They break out bounce houses and foosball tables so your family can have the best time ever!
The Gravity Vault

If gravity’s getting you down, you need to plan a visit to The Gravity Vault! This Hoboken climbing gym has something for kids and all age groups and all levels. If you aren’t sure which program would be right for you, they can help you find your ideal class. They offer walk-in options as well as memberships so you can come in as much as you need. They also have private lessons that let you partner up with an experienced climber so you can figure it out.
