This big brother stole my heart during this newborn session. From the adorable smile, to the wonderful head full of curls, he was so in love with his baby sister, it was super precious to see!
When we discussed mom’s interior style and color preferences for this session, she described her home as having a little bit of an eclectic feeling. I always encourage clients to send me images of their living spaces, bedrooms, nursery or anywhere else they are thinking of displaying their portraits. This helps me to coordinate the tones and mood of the images to their personal decor, but also use these as tools to help decide how the client can enjoy their images. We use personal walls to mock up final artwork too.
With these tools in hand, I pulled together pinks, golden yellows, and mauves into baby’s solo photos. We also incorporated these tones into mom’s portraits with baby. We used some bamboo in the props to add to the little bit of boho flair I saw in the decor as well. I absolutely love the way the colors all tied in together.
I also just want to add that this dad was so amazing during the session. He had the most adorable shots with his babies, and was a natural in front of the camera too (even if most dad’s or men in general don’t believe themselves to be, and photos are low on the priority list!). Dads, I got you!
This is probably one of my favorite images from their session. Mom and her boy are total twins in real life!
Isn’t she just the cutest? Their final artwork included some smaller folio prints and an 8×10 fine art print, a desk block, and a magnificent canvas portrait of their baby girl!
