For this gorgeous mom, focusing on her family and not just herself (although she looked like an absolute goddess!), was most important for her final photos. We went through an amazing gallery of images from her session, and mom chose what was dearest to her heart, photos with those she loves the most, and a few stunning ones of herself. Family focused maternity sessions are quite common when it is not a first pregnancy. I think moms feel a little guilty in choosing more photos of themselves, just because most of the time our world and soul revolves around everyone else we love, and of course, we want them there to share in it.
Neutrals are definitely mom’s color, and she looks gorgeous in both two piece sets we put on. The rhinestone set was a new piece I pulled out of the client closet, and I have to say, it is probably my favorite look on her. Mom was just perfectly tall, and she looks so regal. The shape of the crop top emphasized the beautiful round belly too.
For maternity sessions that don’t just include mom and dad, we try our best to incorporate those feisty, delicious toddlers as much as THEY allow. Sometimes, this means we will get their silliest faces (but, hey, we love those too!) Sometimes, this involves bribery, and a lollipop or two. Fun fact, the family photo below totally had a lollipop sticking up above mom’s head. Thank goodness for lollipop smiles, and Photoshop.
